Help Les Retire Before It's Too Late

Meet Les. He's 83 years old — and he's getting ready for another shift. Les is a veteran. A husband. A man who spent his life doing the right thing, no matter the cost. And right now, four days a week, he still clocks in at Loews. Not because he wants to. Because the medical bills for his sick wife have piled up higher than he ever imagined — and someone has to pay them. Now, at 83, Les is facing the unthinkable: going full-time at 84, just to keep a roof over their heads. He never thought this is where he'd be at this age. Still punching a clock instead of sitting beside the woman he loves. I'm Samuel Weidenhofer, and I met Les at work. What struck me wasn't just his situation — it was him. Here was a man carrying more weight than most people half his age, and he still stopped to help me. That's who Les is. One of the kindest people I've ever met. He doesn't complain. He doesn't ask for pity. He just shows up, does the work, and goes home to take care of his wife. But I couldn't walk away and do nothing. No 83-year-old should have to make this choice. Every day Les spends at work is a day he's not spending with her. And that time doesn't come back. The longer this goes on, the more he risks: Exhaustion and health decline from working at his age Missing the moments with his wife that matter most Losing their home if the bills keep mounting Spending his final years in survival mode instead of at peace Les gave this country his youth. He gave his wife his life. He deserves to give himself these last years — not to Loews, but to her. This fundraiser exists to bring Les home for good. Every dollar goes directly toward relieving the financial pressure that's keeping him at work. The goal of $150,000 will be used in stages: ✅ Stage 1 – $40,000: Stop the Bleeding Cover the most urgent medical bills Ease the immediate financial pressure Let Les reduce his hours right away ✅ Stage 2 – $60,000: Secure Their Home Pay off remaining medical debt Ensure the mortgage and household bills are covered Remove the fear of losing everything they built together ✅ Stage 3 – $50,000: Bring Les Home Allow Les to leave work completely and for good Build a long-term safety net for ongoing medical needs Give them both the peace and stability they've always deserved Les's story isn't about desperation. It's about a generation that was raised to carry everything alone — long past the point anyone should have to. He served. He worked. He loved. He never stopped. Now it's our turn. 💵 Any amount — $10, $25, $50 — chips away at the burden keeping him from her side. 📢 Can't donate? Share his story. Every share puts his face in front of someone who can. 💬 Leave him a kind word. Sometimes knowing strangers care is what gets someone through the next shift. You can be the reason he hangs up that work vest. You can be the reason he's holding her hand instead of stocking shelves. You can be the reason he spends whatever time he has left exactly where he belongs. 🕊️ Retire Les. Donate now. HELP LES TODAY 💙

Help Gwen Access the Treatment She Needs to Keep Fighting

Hi, my name is Gwen, and I am asking for your help as I continue fighting for my life. Just a year ago, I was a healthy 22-year-old focused on building my future. I was working, spending time with friends and family, and looking forward to everything life had ahead of me. Nothing could have prepared me for how quickly everything was about to change. After a series of tests and appointments, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, I have undergone 14 rounds of chemotherapy and six major surgeries. I have spent countless days in hospitals, endured painful procedures, and faced challenges that pushed me further than I ever thought possible. Then came the moment that changed everything. My doctors told me I had only six months to live. At 22 years old, hearing those words was devastating. For a moment, it felt like my future had been taken away from me. But I refused to accept that this was the end of my story. Instead of giving up, I chose to fight. Through every chemotherapy session, every surgery, every setback, and every painful recovery, I kept going. Along the way, I also survived an abusive relationship and experienced the loss of people I once believed would stand beside me no matter what. Despite everything, I am still here. Still fighting. Still believing there is hope. Today, I am doing everything I can to keep that hope alive. While battling cancer, I have continued working two jobs to help cover the growing cost of treatment and give myself the best possible chance of survival. I am fighting for my future, for the people I love, and for the life I still dream of living. I recently adopted a rescue dog and made a promise that I would never give up on him. In many ways, that promise reminds me every day not to give up on myself either. But I cannot do this alone. Every donation will help fund my ongoing treatment and give me the strongest possible chance to continue this fight. If you are unable to donate, sharing my story could be just as powerful and may help it reach someone who can. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for believing in me, and for helping me keep fighting for the future I am determined to have. With love and gratitude, Gwen

Sienna May Not Reach Her 13th Birthday

Sienna was born with only half a heart. Since the day she entered the world, she has endured more than 50 surgeries on her brain, heart, spine & more… spending much of her childhood in and out of hospitals instead of simply being a child. Her condition has left her unable to walk, talk, or eat and every single day is a battle that no child should ever have to face. Heartbreakingly, Sienna’s condition means she is at constant risk of a sudden cardiac event. Her family live with the unimaginable reality that they don’t know how much time they have left with their beautiful little girl. Unfortunately the family has just received the news that it is 50/50 that Sienna survives until her 13th birthday next year. Rather than spending that precious time worrying about finances, they want to fill Sienna’s days with love, laughter, comfort, and unforgettable memories. That’s why we’re asking for your help. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go towards giving Sienna the experiences she deserves… family days out, special trips, adapted equipment if needed, and precious moments together that Sienna and her family will cherish forever. No family should have to choose between making memories and paying the bills while caring for a child with such complex needs. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser could help it reach someone who can. Let’s come together to show Sienna and her family that they are not facing this journey alone. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. It truly means the world.

A CHILD SHOULDN’T HAVE TO FIGHT HUNGER ALONE.

A CHILD SHOULDN’T HAVE TO FIGHT HUNGER ALONE.

😢 Right now, children are going to sleep hungry. Not because food doesn’t exist. But because for many families, there simply isn’t enough. Some children wake up not knowing if they will eat that day. Some parents have to choose who eats first. Some families are surviving on whatever they can find. And this is happening right now. 💔 Children are growing up without reliable access to nutritious meals. 💔 Families are facing hunger, poverty, illness, and instability. 💔 For many children, one simple meal can mean the difference between another day of hunger and a moment of relief. A child should never have to wonder where their next meal will come from. Yet for too many children, that is their reality. LoveGives is working directly with vulnerable communities to provide food, care, and support to children who need it most. When you donate, your support helps turn compassion into action: 💛 You help put food into a child’s hands. 💛 You help provide meals to children and families in vulnerable communities. 💛 You help us continue reaching children who are too often forgotten. 💛 You help bring dignity, care, and hope where they are needed most. And if people look away? 😞 Another child may go to bed hungry. 😞 Another family may be left without support. 😞 Another day may pass without the help they desperately need. HUNGER DOESN’T WAIT. Neither should we. You may not be able to help every child. But you can help one today. 🙏 Please donate now and help LoveGives provide meals, care, and hope to children in need.
